Permanent make-up (PMU) is the solution for a permanent make-up effect so that daily make-up can be dispensed with. A topic that is probably not associated with the classic tattoo scene. In the so-called cosmetic tattoo, colors and contours are incorporated into the skin and primarily facial areas such as lips, eyelids or eyebrows are treated. The color pigments are stung only 0.8 to 1.4 millimeters deep into the sensitive facial skin. Accordingly, the result often does not last a lifetime and has to be renewed after about two to five years, depending on the skin type.

After the treatment the permanent make-up often looks very intensive and unnatural, but this improves visibly after the first few days during the healing process. The pigmented skin areas can be compared to small wounds, which are only completely healed when the crust comes off by itself. During this time it is important not to use any make-up or lipstick as this can lead to infection. Special creams, often recommended by the treated studio, promote healing and moisturize the affected area. Direct sunlight, sauna or solarium visits, swimming in salty or chlorinated water, and sweaty sports should be avoided, especially during the first week. When showering, make sure that neither soap nor shampoo is massaged into the treated skin areas.

The costs of a permanent make-up treatment vary greatly depending on the provider. From 200 euros, there is no upper limit. For complex or larger areas and treatments, you can quickly expect a few hundred euros. Sometimes several sessions are necessary to achieve the desired result. The choice of a studio should not fall on the cheapest offer. A professional execution is usually worth the money and is especially in the always visible facial area an important criterion and prerequisite for a natural final result.
